Once there was a special service program that supported ASCII in the ILE
environment. I Simply can not remember the name of that

I am in a situation where I need some of the good old sprintf, regex and
other stdio/stdlib etc. routine. My data, however,  is in ASCII and I need
it ILE.

I cloud potentially convert data to unicode and use the _w_ functions, but
i'll prefere it to be straight up ASCII

Anyone remember that trick?
