You could use the command RUNJVARUN, it's part of my Open Source project 
AppServer4RPG and available at SourceForge. It's running all Java calls in 
one prestarted JVM, so you would have very fast responses with nearly 
unlimited scalability. As it is running multithreaded in a single JVM, your 
java calls must not unload the JVM (System.exit()) and you can't use 
System.out for giving back responses.
If you would need more sophisticated parameter handling, it's not too hard 
to implement your Java part to run with AppServer4RPG.
