Since this thread started I've just been thru my Win10 machine and
cleaned out all the old java and installed IBM's free version.

Had to clean any java references from the registry - deleted some javaws
stuff from C:\windows\system32

Added new location to Path Environment variable and JAVA_HOME - just
loaded my Eclipse IDE and now it works.

Java home = C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk8u192-b12\bin

Path contains C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk8u192-b12\bin for user and
system - make sure you remove any old references to java that you have
removed.

Make sure if you are using eclipse that you have 32bit jdk and 32bit
java (otherwise you will get JNI errors)

Good luck and goodbye Oracle..
