Check your value of envvar JAVA_HOME .  It should be set to a correct JDK
   path. Such as : /QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk80/64bit

   Best regards.

A customer just reported that they'd installed Java 8. I verified that
it shows up in GO LICPGM option 10.

But when I switched them over to run Tomcat under Java 8, and try to
     launch it, I get:

     > Environment variable QIBM_JVM_ILE_HOME must be set when JAVA_HOME is
     not a JV1 option directory.

What in the world could THAT possibly be? I've never seen it before.
     They're on V7R1M0.
