I would think, that the CL variant wouldn't help, it will make up new qsh 
sessions and startup the JVM from scratch. I would recommend to run the java 
process on some linux or windows box to get an estimate, on as400 you should 
reach better performance, if you could use an already started jvm (and 
scalability would be nearly unlimited). Encrypting a file would be dependant 
on the size of the file and some seconds might be fast, or very slow.
