Note especially: *char Return_On_End* Return immediately from Qp0zRunTerminal() <https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ssw_ibm_i_73/apis/runtrml.htm> when the interpreter process ends. By default, Qp0zRunTerminal() <https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ssw_ibm_i_73/apis/runtrml.htm> waits for the user to press either the F3 or F12 command key before returning when the interpreter process ends. So I think w/r/t your standard Java terminal application, they've already written the terminal invocation and it uses the default, i.e., to wait for the F-key press. Maybe you can write a CL that invokes the terminal and then runs your Java process and your terminal setup will be used by that Java process and will behave as you wish.
