Dear Jack:

As it happens, I managed to dope out the basics myself, by the end of 
the day, yesterday.

What I'm attempting to do is use JMX to turn webapp contexts on and off 
in a Tomcat server, from a command line, rather than through the 
"manager" context.

I managed to get jmxterm working on our cloud box (where I have a 
"guinea-pig" Tomcat server running), and managed, with a fair amount of 
trial-and-error, to dope out which bean has the "start" and "stop" 
operations for a given context.

It might be useful to be able to script all of what I've so far only 
been able to do manually (i.e., open a QShell session, open a connection 
to the Tomcat server, and then start and stop a given context).

More specifics about the situation will follow off-List.
