Jim -- You may have encountered a known problem (goes back to something like OS/400 V2.2) where if a physical file created by SQL has a logical view/file created over it, something like the "last use" date gets corrupted and the object ends up (eventually) being damaged. IBM Recovery (as of V5R3 4Q2005) is to 0) Install current DB group PTFs 1) Delete all logicals 2) Delete the physical 3) Rebuild the physcial file. 4) rebuild the logicals Don't know if that is what you are looking at, but I've hit the above problem description. Didn't care for the recovery very much! Particularly on a million record file....
