Very nice trick with the CRTCMOD ... OPTION(*PPONLY) !
I just tested it. Some comments:
1) You can create the source on a PC editor and save it in the IFS.
2) Change the %INCLUDE to #include <xxx.mi>
3) INCDIR must point to where the includes are (/home/MI in my case)
4) Specify PPGENOPT(*NOGENLINE) { suppresses #line directives from the output}, PPSRCFILE(lib/QMISRC) and PPSRCMBR(mbr) to create the source member.
5) Macros... hmmm... will have to think about that.
