If you're dealing with general objects...doesn't dspobjd to a outfile give you this? I'm at my kids school having to deal with some linux and windows issues and don't have a 400 in front of me, but I've used that and dspfd before for this kinda data... Linux is such a pain in the ass piece of crap...
