When checking IP addresses remember IPv6 is becoming more common, and the IBMi handles the protocol very well. The IPv4 addresses become IPv6 adding a prefix 16 ones and 80 zeros. When an IPv6 address begins with 16 ones and 80 zeros, the 32 bits that folow are the IPv4 address.
