RE: Protect subfile records when maintaining control record

Quigley's solution is easiest. You don't get to see the subfile records, but you only wanted to change the control record anyway. 

My mention of PROTECT is more "cumbersome" and involves an update to each subfile record, with the PROTECT keyword conditioned *ON. And updating all the subfile records. --Nah, use Quigley's suggestion.
