RE: Decoding PDF data from a web service

Daniel,

No need to work on the weekend!  Thanks for your help... I figured it out.

AI said to cast it to a BLOB if the data represents a PDF.

  dcl-s  base64decoded  varchar(1000000) ccsid(*utf8) inz;
  dcl-s  encoded_clob   sqltype(CLOB:1000000) ccsid(*utf8);
  dcl-s  decoded_blob   sqltype(BLOB:1000000);


  encoded_clob_data = json.data.node.packingSlipPdfData;
  encoded_clob_len = %len(json.data.node.packingSlipPdfData);
  exec sql set :decoded_blob = base64_decode(:encoded_clob);
  base64decoded = %subst(decoded_blob_data:1:decoded_blob_len);

I'll either use the write() function or SQL to write this to the IFS.

I would like to know why the trusty ol' base46_decode() function is failing. This is a PDF document.
