We are looking for Functional Programmers

Dear Functional Programmers,


You might know that we have recently started a company called Top 
Software Technology (top-software.nl) building on decades of research 
performed at the Computer Science Department of University of Nijmegen 
(clean.cs.ru.nl).

By using advanced Functional Programming techniques and tools, we 
develop collaborative, distributed, multi-user / multi-system / 
multi-platform, web-oriented software applications for industry.
We focus on Command and Control type of applications where real-time 
information is used for observing and controlling the environment.

We use the iTask system offering Task Oriented Programming (TOP), a 
special flavour of Functional Programming (FP) to construct the software 
applications for our customers at a high-level of abstraction on an 
Agile manner.

We are looking for academically educated Computer Scientist who are fond 
of Functional Programming (Haskell, Clean). Besides excellent 
programming skills and experience also in traditional tools and 
languages (HTML, Javascript, CSS, Linux, C, databases, GIT, …) you have 
to be pro-active, and able to work independently. Good social skills are 
required as well: you have to be able to convert the wishes of end-users 
to user-friendly applications that help them to do their work.

The job covers all aspects of developing software: talking to end-users, 
design and development of applications, participating in the design and 
implementation of a state-of-the-art modern software infrastructure, but 
also working on low-level support libraries. We offer a lot of freedom 
in organizing your work.
