One easy solution is to use the command line options as found within the program irfanview.com (www.irfanview.com). I've used this is several cases with success as this viewer editor will support a lot of file types ans convertions... download, install and look for the command within the help file. (if you needs some code, please ask and I will look at home).
 
Also the is an open license solution that can be found at http://g32.org/ .
