People who do want to become famous usally don't join JEDI - they join
Mono, Linux, KDE etc. :-)

As someone who never reads guestsbooks I have no idea if it really
helps to motivate people - but well - a guestbook is easy to add to
XOOPS - so why not?
Nonetheless, I once tried something pretty similar: I tried to collect
(commercial as well as noncommercial) projects using the JCL and put
them on our homepage. Unfortunately, there was nearly no response.
