Hello,

It had all we needed and was easy enough to use (in case the webmaster
one day decides to quit. It is much easier to learn XOOPS than Typo3
or ZOPE).

We also considered others options including "more professional" ones
like Typo3 or continue with a self made Delphi based solution.
Borland had nothing to do with that decision :-) Ok, they had since
their box supports only PHP (& Perl) and MySQL.

So - it would be nice if whatever solution we choose runs on LAMP
(where P=Perl|PHP) otherwise some poor soul (which usually means me)
has to convince Borland that we need something else :-)

BTW: W3C Validator just said that we are now XHTML compatibel :-)

Agreed.

Possible, of course. MediaWiki evolved to something like a small CMS :-)

It is a little bit harder to create custum designs (multi level menus,
advanced search and so on) but I do not see a real problem. We simply
do not use *M*anagment part of a our CMS at all. The real strength of
most conent managment systems are content and workflow _managment_
which we do not use at all :-)
