While FPC is surely much more cross-platform, you can't say that Borland 
is mostly focussing on .NET. Delphi 2006 has seen some big changes in 
the compiler for Win32, and I'm sure we will see more in the next 
version (along with changes in the .NET personality, of course). And 
Borland will also focus on Win64 and a 64 bit Delphi, after a while.
