Below are some of the more recent and continuing contributors to Project=20
JEDI, including current and recent members of the Steering Team.  I have pr=
obably=20
missed some significant contributors, so please feel free to contact me wit=

information on people I should include in future updates.  I am hoping that=

this could be published on our Web sites and would like that to be as compl=
ete as=20

Michael Beck is currently Assistant Director and has been involved in a=20
number of JEDI Projects (including the originator of the popular JVCL) and =
is also=20
a member of other open source projects. He has been involved with the proje=
ct=20
since the beginning and was a member of the Admin team that reorganized and=
=20
revitalized the Project. He was a major force behind creating the GUI inter=
face=20
for Dr. Bob's Head Converter after it was donated to the DARTH Project. Bor=
n=20
in Europe, he currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio (USA) working on Web=20
development.  He is proficient in the martial arts having won two US Taekwo=
ndo=20
Championships.=20=20=20=20

Helen Borrie managed the main JEDI Web site for years but that site has=20
become largely inactive.  She continues to work to provide database support=
 for=20
some of the projects.  She is involved in various other open source project=
s. She=20
has been involved with the project since the beginning and was a member of=
=20
the Admin team that reorganized and revitalized the Project. She is very ac=
tive=20
in Delphi database development and is particularly active in the Firebird=20
community and a member of the Project Team.  She has worked as a technical =
writer,=20
lives in Australia, and has recently written "The Firebird Book: a Referenc=
e=20
for Database Developers" (see=20

S=C3=A9bastien Buysse was one of the "founders" of the JVCL. He donated his=
 entire=20
component set to that Project.

Marcel Bestebroer is the leader of the Delphi Help Project that creates hel=
p=20
files JVCL components and is the founder and leader of the Delphi .NET=20
Project.  He is located in the Netherlands.

Chris Eyre is the former leader of the JEDI Math Project.

Thomas Huber ([email protected])is one of the main testers for the JEDI=
=20
Version Control System (JVCS), the successor to FreeVCS (see=20
http://jedivcs.sourceforge.net).=20

John Kaster is the Borland representative to the Project JEDI Steering Team=
.=20=20
On many occasions he has served as a liaison between the Project and Borlan=
d.=20
 He is Principal Engineer and architect for the developer networka=20
Developer-Relations manager at Borland and is known for his work with the p=
opular=20
CodeCentral project.

Robert Love has been active in the Borland community since the mid 1990s. H=
e=20
has served as the president of the Salt Lake City Delphi Users Group and is=
 a=20
member of the Project-JEDI Steering Committee. His main area of responsibil=
ity=20
has been organizing the JEDI "Birds of a Feather" sessions at Borland=20
conferences.  He is involved in other open source projects including those =
related to=20
TurboPower libraries.

Robert Marquardt. In May of 2001, Robert Marquardt became the first popular=
ly=20
elected director of Project JEDI.  During the year he held that position, t=
he=20
Project continued to grow steadily and was recognized at the annual Borland=
=20
Conference in Long Beach, California, receiving the 2001 Spirit of Delphi=20
Award. Robert has continued as an active member of the project and its Stee=
ring=20
Team. He has contributed to a number of projects including the JEDI Code Li=
brary=20
(JCL).

Alan Moore has been a member of Project since the beginning, a member of th=
e=20
former Admin Team, PR Director, leader of the DARTH Team, and most recently=
=20
has severed as Director. As a former moderator for the COBB Group's Delphi=
=20
Discussion List, he helped with the original formation of the Project.  He =
has=20
written two books about Delphi and wrote the File|New column for Delphi Inf=
ormant=20
Magazine until it ceased publication.  Those columns and other technical=20
articles are available at http://www.delphizine.com. He is Professor of Mus=
ic at=20
Kentucky State University.  His Email is [email protected].

Ralph Muench is the representative and one of the administrators of the JED=
I=20
Math project, an expanding library of mathematical functions. Ralph is a=20
physicist and has programmed in Delphi since 1996 =E2=80=93 mainly for nume=
rical support in=20
research while earning his Ph.D. and thereafter. Ralph is now a full time=20
physics lecturer at the=20
Technical University of Winterthur.

Robert Rossmair was the former Coordinator of the JEDI Code Library and=20
former member of the Steering Team.Oliver Sannier is a representative from =
JVCL and=20
the general coordinator of that Project since 2004, taking over from Peter=
=20
Th=C3=B6rnqvist. As a student in Australia he was able to use Project JEDI =
resources=20
in a robotics-related project. He is currently living in France where he wo=
rks=20
on BackOffice software for a leading Internet vendor of computer hardware=20
supplies.

Matthias Thoma has been and remains involved in a number of JEDI Projects,=
=20
including some related to Kylix.  He has contributed to several projects an=
d=20
donated code to Project JEDI including the OpenGL API implementation.  He i=
s=20
currently responsible for maintaining the JEDI pages at the Borland site,=20

Peter Th=C3=B6rnqvist is the former JVCL coordinator. He donated many of ow=
n his=20
components to that Project.

Rudy Velthuis is Dutch by birth but has lived in Germany since the mid 1980=
s.=20
 Although his profession is that of a dentist, he is active as a programmer=
=20
and has his own Web site devoted to Delphi at http://rvelthuis.de/.  Along =
with=20
Phil Shrimpton=20
(UK) and Marcel van Brakel (Netherlands) he accomplished the important=20
tasking of=20
cleaning-up and grading the API library.

Petr Vones has contributed to the JEDI Code Library (JCL) and to the JVCL. =
=20
He is very active in online discussions of Delphi topics and has written to=
ols=20
based on the JCL.  His Home Page is http://www.volweb.cz/pvones/delphi/

Former JCL Team leader, Robert Rossmair's main topic of interest is audio=20
signal processing.=20

He is currently working on an additive software re-synthesizer.  You can fi=

Uwe Schuster ([email protected]) is the newest member of Steering,=20
replacing Holger Dors as the representative of the JediVCS Project. He was =
one of=20
the original members of the=20

JEDI VCS team from February 2003. He lives in Germany where he studied=20
information technology and does work as a software developer.  His nickname=
 of=20
bitcommander originated from a lecture he attended about low level bit oper=
ation=20
and gates.

Holger Dors is the former Steering Team representative from JediVCS.

Contributors from the Wider Delphi Community

Charlie Calvert was the first Borland representative on the JEDI Steering=20
Team and wrote an important early article on Project JEDI=20
(http://www.kkhec.ac.ir/Touska%20Forum/Articles/A%20ClientDataSet%20in%20Ev=
ery
%20Database%20Application.htm).  He is currently a member of the Project's=
=20
advisory team.

Glenn Crouch has been a long time supporter of Project JEDI, and has=20
published many a number of articles about the project on the Delphi Third P=
arty List=20
he manages.

Ann Lynnworth in the co-founder and President of HREF Tools Corp., creators=
=20
of WebHub software.  Through contributions of servers and software, she and=
 her=20
company have made possible Project JEDI's main Web site.

Bob Swart, AKA Dr. Bob is probably the best known individual in the entire=
=20
Delphi community. What may not be so well known is his tremendous support f=
or=20
Project JEDI.  He was probably the first major Delphi person to promote the=
=20
project and link to the JEDI site.  Later, he contributed his API conversio=
n tool,=20
HeadConv, to Project JEDI (now maintained by the DARTH Project).=20
