For the past several months I have been working, off and on, testing the
various files at the JDARTH Yahoo group. I found problems with just about all of
them. Next I started working on release candidates. One of them I believe is
ready, a completely refactored version of the original that appears to be
producing good output. But there are remaining problems with the GUI version,
the only one I could get to properly compile. It produces similar output to the
Console version, but with missing lines. I uploaded both files to the site.
Are you currently a members of the site; if not, I would be happy to add you.
Here is the message I sent to the JDARTH group:
Over the summer I checked the existing file and found most of them
problematic. Some of them did not compile (GUI versions) and I think this is because
of incompatabilities with the most recent version of SynEdit, an open source
library used by most of the GUI versions. I have worked to produce refactored
versions of the main work files (especially HeadPars) and now have a Console
version that appears to produce valid output, that is, output similar to the
original versions distributed by Project JEDI. Unfortunately, and although it
uses the very same work files, the GUI version does not yet produce valid
output. I have posted both of these for JDARTH members to examine and will
continue to work on the GUI version. I suspect that the bug in this version is in
the main unit.
Best wishes,
Alan C. Moore
