Caveat emptor!!

JEDI + API is a private project owned by Peter Haas, not linked to Project 
JEDI in any way, by which Mr Haas appears to be attempting to hijack the 
JEDI API project.

JEDI Tech?  there has never been such a project.  There was, for a time, a 
private email forum named JEDI Tech, which was used to coordinate a large 
project to standardise and grade the API library. When the project 
completed, the list was disbanded.

As a member of JEDI Steering I am completely unaware of any policy to 
discontinue any project handling API conversions.  It is still active.

This quote was taken out of context during a dispute between two 
non-English speakers writing in English in an obscure, non-Project JEDI 
newsgroup a long time ago.  It serves no purpose but for an angry and 
vindictive person to propagate a malicious lie.

There is a team which reviews submissions of both new and existing 
conversions and grades them.   As a rule, if you submit a conversion, it 
will get reviewed and, if it is testable, it is tested and graded.  It is 
not the role of the review team to re-code submissions or to take old 
conversions and bring them up to date with new SDKs.  That is what **JEDI 
members** do, and are encouraged to do.  In context, that was exactly what 
the quoted statement meant.

Sometimes, one of the reviewers will be interested in a particular 
conversion and may decide to work on it himself - that happened a lot in 
the past when the team was larger.  However, it is not a role that is 
REQUIRED of the reviewers and it never was. PJ works by encouraging people 
who are interested in picking up a pieces of work and improving on it.

The system works well when the code is flowing well.  Every pair of eyes on 
the code helps it to be better.  Peter Haas could have been a useful 
contributor to that system if he hadn't chosen, instead, to invent a 
spurious dispute with Project JEDI as a strategy to try to prove his 
technical superiority over everyone else in the world, by any means, fair 
or foul.

What a waste of talent and energy!! It's time for Mr Haas to get his head 
on straight and figure out a way to work positively with Project JEDI, 
instead of trying to hijack it for his own purposes. That way, everyone wins.
