How to detect mouse clicks without an event handler?

Hello all,

I wonder if anyone can offer me any advice. I am trying to use an ActiveX
component on
my form. The component is not equipped with an OnClick event/property. This
means that
an event handler cannot be attached.

Trouble is, I need to detect mouse clicks on the component. I do not have
the component source code to adapt.

Could some transparent item be placed over it that could detect the clicks?
If so, what?

Thanks.
