QueryPerformanceCounter equivalent?

Hi...

Does anyone know how to get precise timing under kylix? This is easy 
with windows+delphi using QueryPerformanceCounter; is there a linux 
equivalent? I need this high precision to measure free processor time 
between frame updates.
