I apologize for not saying that I HAVE been able to install it. I have
the professional version. It installs OK but what I should have said is
that it won't install in a useable state.

Tell me more about your experience with the 'open source' version. I
have seen that it is much smaller that the 'pro' version. Mine takes
about 400 mb to install. If the open source version runs and is
reasonably functional, I'll run it instead.

This is what my version is doing to me. I can't start either the Delphi
or C++ function in KDE. I can, however, start and run the Delphi
version in an Xterm window (it works great). I can start the C++
function in an Xterm window but it takes a very long time and produces
about 6 errors stating access violations on various 'packages'. When
the C++ function finally starts, I find that the minute I try to create
something in the work space it throws a segmentation fault and
disappears from the screen. It is essentially unusable.

I am very impressed with the features that this product seems to have
but something probably very simple is keeping it from running
successfully. I can't believe that Borland will sell much of this stuff
if it will only run on 3 versions of Linux and only on 1 release of each
of those versions.

I hope you can save me.
