Personally, no. but the same for delphi, what is the future of traditional delphi? borland is 
targeting .net with delphi 8, and personally i am not thinking at all of using it.. despite of borland 
claiming 50% of the developers have switched (i don't believe that number at all, a poll at 
http://pazcal.com indicated that _none_ of the delphi-developers that are affected someway or 
the other in open-source is using any .net based language)...

if it bothers you, you could consider switching to freepascal.. the lazarus ide has made great 
improvements the last few years and imho can compete with borlands ide now... problem is 
compatability, lazarus can import delphi projects but not export them (especially: .dfm files)..

i'm still working with delphi 5 and that does i fine job to me. the compiler is ok, most important 
api's are ported and else i have my libraries, and for most typical borland components i just don't 
care, i use my own libraries for networking and databases (that mostly are delphi & kylix & fpc 
compatible).. but i am not a typical delphi programmer :) i just bought an additional new pc, as 
soon as it is delivered i have permanent platform for kylix :)

for sure i think pascal has future.. but if borland stops 'normal' delphi and kylix development, 
well.. then it's time to port all active projects to fpc.. but for the time being i am not concerned. 
and maybe borland also thinks: if it aint broken, don't fix it.. i have an official kylix1, that is ok 
to me.. kylix 3 is also fine i've heard, and any delphi 3+ is good for modern programming so.. no, 
i'm not too worried. and .net? longhorn? i'll be off to linux long before that :)
