OK I have been looking at this RichEdit, it almost does what I want,
can anyone take it that final step...

If you type a load of text into rich edit, then select a portion of
it, holding the left mouse button down you can drag that text to a
position within the RichText box.

The mouse pointer snaps in between each letter and when you let go the
dragged text is inserted at the cursor.

I want to be able to insert text that isn't in the rich edit box at
the cursor position.
