hi Jeff - that's a good idea - I have seen those devices advertised but
figured the telemarketers had already worked around that.

One thing I have noticed is that some calls have a number, but the name says
"out of area" or "unavailable" depending on the caller ID unit, so I was
thinking of a small database of "allowable" numbers to check against and if
present let the call through as it might be someone I want to talk to.
