Hello there

I'm not English speaking, so please, excuse my mistakes.
I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I am almost a beginner concerning Delphi and I am trying to develop an
utility program -for my personal use- to convert Outlook Express Message
Files in registers of a database (for example to search something through
the 16.000 messages I have stored of this forum). I began my attempt
studying a document called "HOW TO READ OUTLOOK EXPRESS FILES (.DBX)"
written by Walther Estergaard ([email protected]) which allowed me to
access to dbx folders and the messages contained.

I have the some information of the header (as From, To, Date, ... etetera)
clearly identified (begin and length).

I get a widestring (the message itself) and -to complete my attempt- I would
need to divide it in appropriate sections (for example the body of the
message -text/plain- , the html part if it exists -text/html, the
attachments if they exists, etcetera). I would need to be able to find the
positionof each beginning and its length.

I suspect that the information is contained in the message itself since
Outlook Express is able to identify the sections, even in isolated messages
(not contained into an Outlook Folder, but Saved As ...). I have been
investigating lines as, for example,
boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0005_01C20E1C.FBB03EE0". I have not gotten
results yet.

I would appreciate to receive any information concerning this matter at

[email protected]

Thanks in advance
Victor
