I would assume you need to find the offending form which is doing the
ghosting and then find the offending code. At this point do either alter how
the current code is doing its particular task and preventing the ghost or do
something like

 

Width := Width -1

Width := Width +1

Etc. for height if needed.

In my case this is with win98 2nd edition.  The ghosts are multiple and the
longer the program runs, the more ghosts.  After 10
minutes there are at lest 15.
I'll try your advise.

This usually happens under Win9x, I have found changing the width and height
of the main form on shut down to stop the problem as shown below

procedure TfrmSomeScrnSaverForm.FormClose(Sender: TObject; var Action:
TCloseAction);
begin
  { KSG Prevents "Ghost in Taskbar" under Windows98 Second Edition }
  Width := Width -1 ;
  Height := Height -1 ;
end;
