If   you   want to compile your program on kylix, you should use clx components.
If  you  didn't  use  clx componentsm then it will be so hard for you to convert
your application.

I  think  kylix 3 will be good for you, but as I saw it's rather compatible with
delphi 7 than delphi 6.

No, just have the latest driver for your graphic card, anyway it can freeze.
