In addition to Howards comments..

I believe, features like pixel alphablending & bitmap transparency etc,
work only if you have a certain version of IE. Not sure, if it is IE 4.0 or
4.1 or higher. But this version of IE comes bundled with Win2K. So, in
short, pixel alphablending etc wont work on Win98 systems !!
