RE: How to copy the content of TDBGrid into Excel file

The other alternative would be to use one of the COM servers in Delphi to
load up a copy of Excel in the background and to use its routines.

There is a site dedicated to this that normally gets recommended... forget
the name but search on "COM Delphi Deborah Pate" and I think you should get
to it.

But this method requires a copy of Excel as said before.

The problem is that the internal format of a BIFF file (Excel file) is
complex and not something you are going to deal with without a 3rd party app
or component.
