I can't remember if Indy uses Blocking or non blocking, but its the
usual
set of components people use for this.

Not an answer to your question I know, but it might help.

I am just trying to track down as much information as I can on the
TCPClient component..
At the moment I am working on a application for a client and it is
really starting to annoy me..
Mainly about sending and receiving in the non blocking mode.

Using the Blocking Mode is not a viable option because of what the
application actually is..
