I was finally able to contact someone from SwiftSof regarding MMTOOLSt. It took a phone call to Germany to get one, but I did get the answer I needed. Basically, support was always good from them. I believe it's a one person company (Ron Dittrich) and he was on vacation. I have always been pleased with the components and the support. I believe this was just a "glitch" in support. The bottom line is MMTOOLS includes components to convert MP3 files to MS Wave file format. It works great..a little expensive though. I do have a question with regards to MP3 licensing. I know this is a little off the "Delphi path" but since we developers are the ones who are going to have to deal with a license issue, I thought I would ask here first. From what I can tell, converting MP3 files to MS Wave files doesn't require any licensing. I visited http://mp3licensing.com and it appears as though they are only concerned about creating MP3 files and hardware based encoders/decoders. I'm not certain though. Has anyone had to deal with this issue before or does anyone have any good links that put it into developer terms instead of legal ease? I would appreciate any tips.
