RE: A total newbie question from a quick reports newbie

Hi Russ!

QuickReports was originally  written in Delphi (Object Pascal) so all of the tutorials I know are written for Delphi.

Generally, you only need to know Pascal when you are working with the events inside QR.

So...QuickReport3.Doc will work for you as long as you can translate Pascal into C++ Code.

May I also suggest my tutorial which is located at About.com which is located at:

It gives a better overview (IMHO) of what is going on and some of the pitfalls of using QR.

When you get stuck (and you will sometime) give us a holler.  We would be glad to help!

I am using Borland c++ Builder 6, Quick Reports 3 and I am going to 
be accessing a Microsoft Access data base (a .mdb).  As I said I'm a 
total Quick Report newbie but I do have experance writing SQL queries 
and with c++.  

My question is: what should I be reading?  

I Have a copy of "Build Reports using QuickReport 3" (QuickReport 
3.doc) but it's writen for Delphi.  I was hopping you guys might know 
where to find a c++ version of this or even some other good 
referances I should read.

I'll RTFM if some one will just point me to it :)
