The best way of doing things is this Create a ALIAS with a name like this. DEVELOP In you app create a main datamodule with a Tdatabase component named DEVELOP (watch this name is exactly the same as you ALIAS name in the BDE) Next in your app use this TDatabase component to connect to the real database In your reports also use this alias to develop against. Now swith Alias on the TDSatabase component on the main datamodule and you see all will switch including the QREport reports. Please bear with me. My application needs to toggle from a Test DB to a Live DB. It does that just fine with all features operating nicely except my QRpts. They all act as if they are no longer attached to their data sources. Looking at them with the Object Inspector, they appear all connected and ready to go, yet they do not load data from either DB in runtime. Can anyone provide a bit of insight?
