The short answer...No. This falls in the perogative of the printer manufacturer and their programmers who write the drivers. It sounds like you are bending the rules and getting away with it on one printer but not on the other. It would recommend trying to print in a different, slightly smaller font that will accomodate the printer. For example, there are fixed spacing fonts and variable spacing fonts; Wider fonts and narrower fonts.
