I assume you are using the standard version of QR.  Because of this you
don't have the source code of the QuickRep component so you can modify
the code to open differently.

I think your only alternative is to create your own previewer and use
that in place of the standard one.  QR has a component called
QRPreview.
In the QRHelp lookup 'TQRPreview Example' for an example of how to set
one up.  You will need to add more buttons to the toolbar to get the
functionality you normally get using the standard previewer.  

I am playing around with this component myself, so if you get stuck,
email me privately and I will send you a sample of my code.
