TZF - How to set excllusive in Run time?

Hi there:

I have a database file which needs to be non-exclusive. Could any one 
advise me how to zap it? According to the Technical reference I have to 
 mydbf.active:=false; 
 mydbf.exclusive:=true;
 mydbf.active:=true;  <---Will get Error#32 File sharing violation
 if not(mydbf.zap) then.... 

It works if I set the Exclusive property to true at design time. But I 
need it to be non=exclusive false for other functions. Could any one 
help?

I am using Topaz 7.51 with Delphi 5.
