TZF - Corrupted Blob (Memo) File - Was HUGE memo file

I wrote a few days ago about a HUGE memo file, which
caused Marie to provide the structure of dBase files
and thanks Marie.

I now have more information ... I tried to change the structure
of my file with Database Desktop, rather than dbase.exe and
got a message of a   "corrupted BLOB (memo) file" .  Can
anyone give me a hint as to how to "uncorrupt a memo file".
AND, what the heck caused them to get corrupted anyway?
