I'm interested in letting my user modify/add records from within a TTzGrid component. I'd like to take advantage of pictures and validations during the editing of the entry data. I've looked at the example code provided with the CalcFlds.ZIP from the SSI support site. It demonstrates how to use TStringFields and their like to represent both the real fields within a .DBF and calculated fields that will be displayed upon its TTzGrid as calculated fields. The example is somewhat light on the explanation of how a newbie defines/places/drops/hand codes the TStringFields so that their properties can be adjusted. In fact, I can't see how its done at all except by hand coding. I can't find a form upon which the TStringFields appear at all. I'd hoped that this example code might show me how to achieve something similar to the old Set_DataDefinition_To from the DOS days, but, alas. Can I set up pictures for use in a TTzGrid while the user edits data there?
