  I hope some one here can help. I have not done any programming with Topaz/Delphi for a couple of years ... so I am a bit out of it.

  I Hope you can help point me in the right direction.

  This error means you are trying to post a record, that is not in editmode. Do you use dataaware controls?

  You could build a check just before posting:

  tf tzdbf.state in [dsEdit, dsInsert] Then tzbdf.post;
