I believe this is not true. Topaz can be used with delphi1 that even did not
have a Tdataset. I believe you can set some things in the INC file.

And @Pierre, why upgrade to a newer version if you don't need it? Older
versions often are bundled with magazines, but I am not sure if you can use
them for commercial apps. Personally I still use D5pro. I perhaps will
upgrade to d7pro (for the web stuff and clientdataset), or will wait for 8
that will come soon.
