TZF - TzGrid and FixedColumns

I have a TzGrid and desire the far left column
to remain fixed, as I scroll to the right.  
PERFECT - I found a property
called   FixedColumns which takes an integer
value which makes sense.   Only problem is,
when I set the property to 1 (either at design
or run time) it automatically jumps back to
a zero.   Can anyone shed some light on this?
