Just after sending my question out, I found AppendRec do exactly what I was looking for. If you do not use Blank it copies the current content into the appended data-record.

The way you described I was used to do it since Topaz 3.5 and worked well. But in the actual situation there are 120 fields....

I am not sure if SET CARRY ON/OFF exists in the current Topaz. If it does
then no problems. If not then what I do is copy all fields into variables,
APPEND BLANK, then SET all fields to the variables... A hassle, but
fullproof <G>
