I've never actually been involved in a hackathon.  Should we have a
particular focus?  How do we handle time zones?  We're spread very thin
over the globe so unless we have a lot of non-regulars I'm not sure how
much of an athon it will be.

It would be great to get total beginners who just want some help getting
started, as well as old timers.
