I've never done a hackathon either, but this sounds like fun to me. I'm in Seattle, so Pacific Time. I've written a bit of Dylan code, but I'm pretty bad at it. ________________________________ From: [email protected] on behalf of Carl Gay Sent: Thursday, June 27, 2013 5:38 PM To: Dylan Public Development List Subject: Re: [hackers] Online Hack-a-thon? We could help new people come up to speed, work through some of the tasks in the wiki, or work on our own projects in Dylan. There are a ton of things that people could work on within the space of a weekend to good effect. :) The list in the wiki is getting updated continuously, so if you haven't seen it in the last couple of days: https://github.com/dylan-lang/opendylan/wiki It'd be great to see some old names come back and join in, but new faces are just as welcome! - Bruce I'm in, at least for 4 hours each day. -Carl I've never actually been involved in a hackathon. Should we have a particular focus? How do we handle time zones? We're spread very thin over the globe so unless we have a lot of non-regulars I'm not sure how much of an athon it will be. It would be great to get total beginners who just want some help getting started, as well as old timers. -Carl _______________________________________________ hackers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.opendylan.org/mailman/listinfo/hackers
