I've made a blog post on the website about what's going on with DUIM / Gtk:

    http://opendylan.org/news/2013/08/15/duim-gtk.html

I'd love to see this in much better shape for our upcoming 2013.2 release.
Any assistance would be welcome. We could use some help with:

   - Figuring out how to do things in Gtk. We aren't Gtk experts at all.
This doesn't mean you'd have to write any Dylan code.
   - Actually writing the Dylan code.
   - Cleaning up the duim-reference and other DUIM documentation. This is
   just editing plain text.
   - Identifying bugs and differences between the Windows and Gtk+
back-ends. (Like missing separators in menus, missing borders, etc.)
   - Help with cleaning up the icons that various things use and producing
   higher resolution versions of them.

Once this work is further along, we're hoping to use it start bringing up
parts of the IDE on Linux and Mac OS X.

Please feel free to jump in and help out. Francesco and I have been at this
for over a month now! Meaningful and important contributions can be made
even with only small amounts of time, you don't need to invest 10
hours/week.

 - Bruce
