I've been working on a simple game library for Dylan off and on for a while now, and I recently dropped what I have onto GitHub: https://github.com/AndrewGlynn/orlok The impulse behind it was to have a simple framework for prototyping and developing small 2D game ideas in Dylan. Features include: - A simple tweening library with some convenient macros for animating arbitrary values over time. - Load and display images with arbitrary translation/rotation/scale. - Vector graphics. - Basic sound/music loading and playback. - TrueType/OpenType font rendering (although this appears to be broken for some). - GLSL shaders for custom effects. - A minimal 2D scene graph system. - A few example applications, including a simple breakout clone. It is currently Mac-only, although I intend on getting it running on Windows eventually. It also only directly supports 2D graphics (for now). But as it uses OpenGL internally for rendering one could presumably use whatever OpenGL commands they like when handling a <render-event>. This is very much a work in progress, and its idiosyncrasies no doubt betray its haphazard and intermittent development. While I essentially developed Orlok for my personal use, I've decided to make it public in case others find it (or pieces of it) useful. - Andrew _______________________________________________ hackers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.opendylan.org/mailman/listinfo/hackers
