Same curiosity here: why do you not want SWT? I can imagine arguments
against SWING, but not SWT.

No, but you just made me curios. The thing with macros is that they tend to
be difficult to use if you have infix syntax. This is one of the reason I
want to have a closer look at dylan: it claims to have a better macro
system than lisp.
